Dr. Valerie A. Giangrande
Dr. Valerie Giagrande joined South Nassau Eye Care in 2002 but you can also find her at Sachem Eye Care of Patchogue, and Optical Concepts. Dr. Giagrande brings a unique perspective to optometry, specializing in epigenetics and nutrition and their contributions to ocular health. Epigenetics is the study of biological mechanisms that will switch genes on and off. The different combinations of genes that are turned on or off are what makes each one of us unique and an important element when diagnosing/ treating eye disease.
Dr. Giagrande is a graduate of SUNY College of Optometry and is a certified holistic integrative nutrition health coach.
